"Talisman" is Alastair Galbraith's seminal work, originally released on CD in 1995 on his own label, 'Next Best Way.'

Otic proudly presents the first-ever vinyl reissue, featuring guest appearances by Nigel Bunn, Shayne Carter (Straitjacket Fits, The Weeds, Bored Games, The Doublehappys), and David Mitchell (Goblin Mix, Plagal Grind, 3Ds).

Alastair Galbraith was a founding member of the legendary Xpressway label from New Zealand and recorded ten albums with Bruce Russell (Dead C) under the name A Handful of Dust.

Galbraith's album "Mass" made The Wire magazine's top 50 records of 2010. Since 1984 Galbraith's career has included numerous early cassettes and 7"s on Xpressway, as well as albums on labels such as Corpus Hermeticum, Siltbreeze, Drag City, Emperor Jones, Time Lag, Feel Good All Over and Table of the Elements.
